I found this book series with the 3rd book When I Fall of course it fits my track record when it comes to series. With the series being episodic I wanted to know about the couples featured and their stories. I have only read the first three books in this series and will have to add the others to my TBR list for 2021.
Where I Belong has the second chance romance trope. The two main characters knew each other when they were children and he was a little s$%^&t to her. They accidentally run into each other when she decides to pick up a stranger to be her first lover, not recognizing him as her best friend’s older brother. When she shows up at her best friend’s for a summer holiday break and runs into her one-night stand and old nemesis the sparks fly. His son is a cutie. When she makes him a knight it is the cutest scene ever.
All I Want follows the best friend from the 1st book and her older brother’s cop buddy. They have been having a happy go lucky relationship until she is late one month and when she beats around the issue to find out how he feels about being a father she doesn’t get the answers she wants and breaks things off with him without telling him why. He desperately wants to know why she ended a perfect relationship.
When I Fall is so much better when read in order. I love when the bachelor falls. This main character went to high school with the female lead from All I Want and they have been best friends ever since. His ex-fiance comes back to town the one person who hurt him more than anyone can ever know. He meets a woman at a local bar who wants to help him when his ex tries to put him on the spot. He finds out what it means to love someone so much that you would let them go if it will make them happy.
