My true love reviewed
Brooklyn Dawn series
Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliot
This series is related to these series written by both authors; Love Required, Found in Oblivion, Hammered, The Boss, Tapped Out. As you can tell I have a love for rock star romance novels and series and read a few of them this year.
Play Dirty
Play Fast
Play Mine
Play Hard
Play Diry follows a troubled recluse songwriter and producer and the Lead Singer of Brooklyn Dawn. A fateful meeting in a New York dive bar and a beat-up piano leads to a night they never expect. When she is called to help out on a Holiday album for a dear friend she runs into him again. A great enemies to lovers romance with a happy ending and cameos from characters in the other series. I love when authors do this so I can keep up with what changes with other favorite characters and their lives.
Play Fast follows Brooklyn Dawn’s bass player and their new hair and makeup artist. They share a history connected to his late sister. Once friends he can’t stand to be around the woman he has always wanted and at the same time blames her for his sister’s death. Another enemy to lovers with a good deal of suspense in the connected series. This is the book where I learned about these series and authors. I had to leave this series and find the first series because of the cameos.
Play Mine is about Brooklyn Dawn’s newest member the Keyboardist and the need she has for a bodyguard. Never expecting that her life could be dangerous and straddled with a stick in the mud grumpy bodyguard 24/7. Little do they both expect to find that life without the other is unbearable. Great opposites attract story.
Play Hard I haven’t read yet but it is on my TBR list.
