I know it has been a while but as all of you are more than aware it has been a year. So I thought I would update you all on what has been going on in my life and what is happening now. So let's go back in time a bit.
At the start of the year, I make a reading challenge on my Goodreads. If you want to buddy up with me on there here is my profile. I've read 184 books so far that isn't counting rereads. I started some amazing series and found so awesome authors and will be doing some reviews of my top 10 this December for Bookmas. Some of you might have seen my 20 facts about me on my Instagram profile. If you haven't joined me on there you should @crowshirley.
Not a month in the year I found myself in the hospital. I am ok, my life changed but I'm doing better than ever. I found out that I have diabetes and arthritis in my hips, shoulder, knees, and spine. I have started physical therapy to get my mobility up and with diet and supplements, I got my blood sugars down to normal levels in 6 months. It's a new lifestyle choice for my health and has required some sacrifices but if I maintain it I can live a normal life without diabetic medication for a very long time.
I took part in July Camp NaNoWriMo and edited a large portion of my second book, The Fire Inside. I was also able to get access back to my first book Into The Fire and work on the post editor changes. I am currently working on those changes and about to print the proof copy of Into the Fire.
So what is happening now;
I am working on post editor changes to Into the Fire
Reading you can often find me on the couch snuggled up with my alien dog reading.
Preparing for my first big NaNoWriMo event, working on characters for the 1st book in my Urban Fantasy Mystery series more on that in next week's post.
I hope you all are doing well that you are coping as best as you can in these trying times. If I can ask anything of any of you please vote. If you don't know what to do our if you have questions, there is a lovely person on YouTube who with the help of many people created a channel to help How to Vote in Every State please go there and learn what you can this time is more than likely the most important vote of our lives.
