January overview
I’m on fire, filled with that buring creative spark, and I will not let something as small and insignificant as money stand in my way. I will burn through each obstacle until I reach my destination. This is how I have felt all through the month of January. This weeks blog is a recap of the start of the year, I will try to restrict it to only author related bits.
Author Talks with Shirley Crow Live Streams.
I began live stream episodes on both Facebook and Instagram @crowshirley in January. Each episode I have a writing how-to, information about giveaways and upcoming events, and a segment about my novel Into the Fire coming out in May or the series it is connected too. Check it out every Tuesday at 7pm CST on Facebook and 7:30 pm CST on Instagram. Our espisode show notes and links are posted on this website every Wednesday morning. If you miss the show on Instagram you can always watch it anytime on my Facebook page.
As the Crow Flies 1-on-1 author mentorship program.
I offered seats for this month long author mentorship program in January for $10. Every week day writers that signed up recieve an assignment related to the project they are working on or leveling their personal writing skills. I will be offering the program again in June and writers that are going to take part in the July Camp NaNoWriMo will receive a discount rate.
Our first giveaway of the year was for a free copy of my ebook How to Master the Book-end Revision Technique. We just announced our winner on the 4th episode of the Author Talks with Shirley Crow. Congrats to @shancurtyignacio an author and film director. Check her out and I hope she enjoys the ebook.
I have read 11 books out of my 40 book goal. What is your reading goal of the year? Also I didn’t win the Bookish Novel Bingo sadly but here are their Bingo cards for February.
What do I have planned for February, well I guess you will just have to wait and see. I would love to hear what you did in January or just say hi, I love it when people say hi.
